Richard "Dickie" Hart was a friend of the Kray twins who was killed on the 7th March 1966, at The Battle at Mr Smith's in Catford. He was shot in the chest and his official autopsy stated “haemothorax and a gunshot wound to the chest.” The Richardsons were arrested for the incident apart from George Cornell, where it has been said that Hart's death contributed to the reason that Ronnie Kray shot George Cornell in The Blind Beggar the next night.
Although not an official member of The Firm, he was a close friend of the twins and associated with the Harry Hayward south London gang.
